چکیده
Abstract The aim of this study was to investigate the effect Lactobacillus reuteri E81 (LRE) probiotic supplementation on heat stress responses in chukar partridges ( Alectoris chukar). birds were divided into two groups, one which exposed (HS). Within each group, four subgroups, including 64 birds, created for three treatment doses (200, 400 or 600 mg/kg) LRE and control. experiment started with day-old kept at a temperature 25 °C 37 °C. After 7-day adjustment period, lasted 35 days. levels different adipokines, visfatin (VF), adiponectin (ADP), chemerin (CHEM), as well concentration plasma citrulline (CIT) thyroid hormones (T3 T4) thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) blood measured 21 42 days age. A significant correlation P < 0.01) found between decrease serum VF, ADP, CIT, T3 T4 HS. On other hand, no relationship CHEM TSH > 0.05). We concluded that addition mg/kg is beneficial preventing intestinal damage inflammation provoked by

This study was conducted to assess the effect of the coccidiostat halofuginone (Stenorol) on growth, feed consumption, and survival of Chukar partridge. Halofuginone was fed to three replicates (14 chicks per replicate) of chukar chicks from 2 to 7 d of age at levels of 0, 1.5, 3.0, 6.0 and 12 ppm. Mortality from 2 to 7 d was 0, 0, 0, 11, and 21 birds, respectively, by treatment. Seven-day body...
متن کاملGlobal warming, Bergmann's rule and body mass ± are they related? The chukar partridge (Alectoris chukar) case
Using museum specimens collected in Israel during the second half of the 20th century, no support was found for the hypothesis that body mass and tarsus length of chukar partridges Alectoris chukar has changed as a result of global warming. Body mass showed ̄uctuations during the year, reaching a maximum in late winter and spring and a minimum in summer. Bergmann's rule predicts that in warmblo...
متن کاملInconsistencies among secondary sources of Chukar Partridge (Alectoris chukar) introductions to the United States
The propagule pressure hypothesis asserts that the number of individuals released is the key determinant of whether an introduction will succeed or not. It remains to be shown whether propagule pressure is more important than either species-level or site-level factors in determining the fate of an introduction. Studies claiming to show that propagule pressure is the primary determinant of intro...
